The Iranian Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, mentioned on Sunday a possible new meeting with the American delegation next Thursday, February 26, in Switzerland, to discuss the nuclear program.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I believe there are still good chances to reach a diplomatic solution from which both sides can benefit,”<\/i> he stated in an interview with the American channel CBS, reports Agerpres.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“We continue the negotiations, while we work on the elements of an agreement and a first draft of the text”<\/i> in view of a new meeting with American negotiators, “probably Thursday, in Geneva”<\/i>, indicated Abbas Araghchi.<\/p>\n

However, the Minister insisted that Iran “has the right to defend itself<\/i>” and that, in the face of an “act of aggression”<\/i>, any response is “justified and legitimate.”<\/i><\/p>\n

“Our missiles cannot reach American soil. Therefore, obviously, we need to find another solution (…) and strike the American base in the region,”<\/i> Araghchi repeated, without specifying which base he was referring to.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“For now, we are only negotiating on the nuclear issue and no other subject is being addressed,”<\/i> the Iranian minister added.<\/p>\n
