The Kremlin announced on Tuesday, March 31, that it had not received a clear proposal from Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski regarding a ceasefire for Easter and rejected the idea of a temporary armistice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Russia expects from Kiev “peace decisions”<\/em> and not just a temporary pause in fighting.<\/p>\n\n

“We repeat once again: Zelenski must take responsibility and make the appropriate decisions for us to achieve peace, not an armistice,”<\/em> said Peskov, according to Nexta.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

In parallel, several Ukrainian cities have been targeted by Russian bombardments <\/a> in recent days. The attacks were carried out with missiles and heavy artillery, hitting both military infrastructure and civilian areas.<\/p>\n\n

Ukrainian President, Volodimir Zelenski,<\/a> announced on Monday that he has proposed an energy truce to Moscow, against the backdrop of the oil crisis generated by the conflict in the Middle East. The leader from Kiev emphasized that Ukraine is willing to accept any form of ceasefire, provided that Russia makes the same step.<\/p>\n\n
