Security measures following Russian bombings near the border"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Slovak authorities announced on Wednesday the closure of all border crossing points with Ukraine, citing security reasons, following the Russian bombings on the Ukrainian city of Ujgorod, located near the border.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Slovakia has decided to temporarily close its border with Ukraine, amid escalating tensions in the border area and <a href=\"https:\/\/adevarul.ro\/stiri-externe\/europa\/rusia-intensifica-atacurile-asupra-companiilor-2529343.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Russian attacks<\/a> targeting the Ukrainian city of Uzhgorod, located near Slovak territory.<\/p>\n\n<p>The announcement was made on Wednesday, May 13, by the customs administration in Bratislava, which stated that all checkpoints at the border with Ukraine will remain closed &#8220;until further notice&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;For security reasons, all border control posts with Ukraine will be closed (&#8230;) until further notice,&#8221;<\/em> is stated in the announcement quoted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/live\/2026\/may\/13\/ukraine-russia-war-sergei-lavrov-mark-rutte-bucharest-europe-latest-news-updates?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Guardian.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p>According to Slovak authorities, the measure was taken following the bombings launched by Russia on the city of Ujgorod, located in western Ukraine, very close to the border with Slovakia.
