We are in a deep, structural, and long-lasting strategic confrontation &#8211; we cannot pretend it does not exist,&#8221;<\/em> Nilsson declared.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Swedish official argued that Russia&#8217;s economy continues to face difficulties, while the authorities in Moscow are allegedly manipulating economic data <a href=\"https:\/\/adevarul.ro\/stiri-externe\/rusia\/rusia-ascunde-tot-mai-greu-costurile-razboiului-de-2534640.html\">to hide the impact of the war on economic growth<\/a> and inflation, in the context of the conflict that has been ongoing since February 2022.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, Nilsson emphasized that, in the short term, there are no indications of a threat to the <a href=\"https:\/\/adevarul.ro\/stiri-externe\/europa\/criza-ajunge-in-inima-kremlinului-banca-ce-2533961.html\">stability of the regime led by Vladimir Putin.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The political opposition has been effectively eliminated &#8211; through exile, imprisonment, or, in the most severe cases, assassination.
