Croatian President Zoran Milanovic expressed concern on Wednesday at the NATO summit in Ankara about Serbia’s military development. The official is also worried about the acquisition of long-range weapons, warning that Croatia will have to consider a response.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

According to the official, Serbia’s military procurement policy has raised questions about the security threats coming from this state, reports hotnews.ro<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

“There is a very unusual approach to armament, and the question must be asked: what is the purpose of these acquisitions, why are you buying them, what threat assessment are you starting from and how do you intend to use these capabilities?<\/em> (…) Serbia is behaving in a rather unusual way. I hope that in six months they won’t buy an aircraft carrier on wheels, because they don’t have access to the sea,”<\/em> Milanovic sarcastically declared after the summit.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
