The coming winter could be even more challenging. Therefore, we take the situation very seriously, not to mention our industry, which is also under pressure<\/em>,&#8221; continued Dan Jorgensen.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this context, the European commissioner intends to relax certain rules.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To &#8220;ease the market&#8221;, Jorgensen proposed a one-year delay of a European regulation regarding methane emissions linked to hydrocarbon imports, a move favorable to companies in the sector.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Regulation (EU) 2024\/1787 establishes standards for the measurement, monitoring, reporting, and accurate reduction of methane emissions in the energy sector of the European Union.
