The investigation was halted after it was found that there were no elements constituting an offense.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moniava had been detained at the beginning of September and accused of publicly spreading information deemed by the Russian authorities as &#8220;false&#8221; about the Russian army.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The case started from a post published by Moniava on Telegram in 2023. In it, the activist reported on the cases of Ukrainian civilians who allegedly died as a result of Russian attacks and urged people to make donations to a fund for refugees.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His lawyer, Mihail Biriukov, confirmed that the investigator informed him about the closure of the case and that the authorities no longer have any claims against Moniava.
