Fines can reach \u20ac5,500.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even people who are not directly involved in violence could face penalties, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.g4media.ro\/albania-introduce-amenzi-de-pana-la-5-500-de-euro-pentru-participantii-la-proteste-violente.html\">g4media.ro<\/a>. The new measures will take effect immediately if approved by Parliament.<br\/><br\/>The regulations allow police to temporarily restrict gatherings in certain areas, including near schools, healthcare facilities and government buildings, if the authorities believe there is a risk that demonstrations could escalate into widespread disorder. The measures also provide for penalties for inciting violence online, as well as compensation for small businesses affected by the protests.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that the measures were based on a French bill passed by the upper house of parliament on Wednesday.
