The Prime Ministers of Poland and Hungary exchanged remarks in front of journalists, before their participation in the European Political Community meeting in Copenhagen. The Pole, Donald Tusk, told his Hungarian counterpart that he doesn’t realize which side of the barricade he’s playing on and that he believes there is no war.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Viktor Orban was making statements<\/a> in parallel, a few meters away, saying that his geographical position forces him to buy energy from the Russians.<\/p>\n

“We have no problem with Viktor Orban, I mean, I don’t have a personal problem. Viktor Orban believes there is no war, I believe there is a war. The real question is not this, whether there is or is not a war. The real question is – who is on whose side in this war,” said Donald Tusk, before the European Political Community meeting.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“I can’t change geography. Hungary is a landlocked country, so we only have pipelines. So we have to buy from the Russians,” Viktor Orban justified himself in front of the journalists present in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

Regarding the entry of drones into the airspace of several EU member states, the Hungarian Prime Minister said it is simple, namely they should be shot down. “So shoot it down. It’s that simple. Don’t overcomplicate it. If a drone comes that doesn’t belong to you, then shoot it down!” said Viktor Orban, also in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

“So it’s all about this war. I see that the Union has decided to go to war. Moreover, yesterday they presented the war strategy, how the Russians should be defeated. It’s frightening,” added the Hungarian Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

At one point, Donald Tusk told his Hungarian counterpart that the press wants them to take a picture together. Then Orban was asked what the main threat to Europe is now, and Tusk told the Hungarian Prime Minister that “it’s a challenge.”<\/p>\n

Orban explained that the “real danger” is “economic stagnation and loss of competitiveness”. “This is the danger,” added the Hungarian Prime Minister.<\/p>\n

When asked by journalists if Russia isn’t the danger, Viktor Orban replied: “No”. “We are stronger than Russia. There is no comparison,” Orban added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
