According to her, Brussels is awaiting the cost estimate, including from the Netherlands, after which work on the project will continue.<\/p>\n<p>The creation of the tribunal was proposed in 2022 by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. <a href=\"https:\/\/moldova1.md\/p\/59527\/ue-a-inceput-finantarea-tribunalului-pentru-putin\">The structure is to be formed<\/a> within the Council of Europe, an organization from which Russia withdrew in the same year.<\/p>\n<p>The Kremlin has stated that Russia will not recognize the legitimacy of such a tribunal.
