The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has signed laws that modify the procedure for recruiting citizens for military service. The documents were published on the official legal information portal, reports Meduza Live.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The first law, signed by Putin, provides for the recruitment of citizens for military service throughout the calendar year – from January 1 to December 31. The rule will come into effect on January 1, 2026.<\/p>\n

After this date, military commissariats will be able to send summons to recruits, organize medical examinations, and convene recruitment commissions throughout the year.<\/p>\n

However, the actual dispatch of recruits to military units will continue to be done twice a year – between April 1 and July 15, and between October 1 and December 31.<\/p>\n

The law also establishes that the date of presentation at the military commissariat, in the case of electronic summons<\/a>, cannot exceed 30 days from the date of its publication in the official register.<\/p>\n

The second law<\/a>, signed by the president, allows for the mobilization of reservists to perform tasks in peacetime. This applies to citizens who have voluntarily signed a contract to participate in the armed forces reserve.<\/p>\n

According to the document, the Russian Ministry of Defense will be able to summon reservists to “special training”<\/em> additional “to ensure the protection of critical objectives and other vital infrastructures”<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The State Duma adopted this law on October 28. Shortly thereafter, in the Yaroslavl and Tyumen regions, the start of recruitment in the reserve of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was announced.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
