Suspected drones were observed over a French military base specializing in intelligence, on three different nights last month, announced the French Air and Space Forces, reports Agerpres.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The announcement comes shortly after French prosecutors opened an investigation into possible drones detected over a nuclear submarine base on the Atlantic coast.<\/p>\n

In recent months, such unidentified flights have disrupted European airspace, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, described them as a “hybrid war”. Russia has repeatedly denied any involvement.<\/p>\n

The first incident in the series reported last month took place on November 26, over the Creil military base, in northern France.<\/p>\n

The base hosts an intelligence training center, said Colonel Thomas Bardin, the unit commander, for Le Parisien.<\/p>\n
