The Yandex Go taxi and delivery services in Moldova were unavailable in the Republic of Moldova, following the Ukrainian bombings on the Russian tech giant. Although there may still be difficulties in using the app, the systems have already been restored.

The information was conveyed by the company’s representatives to the editorial staff of TV8, after Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian data centers of Yandex caused disruptions not only in Russia, but also in other countries. Yandex Go Moldova confirmed that it uses various network infrastructures, including servers located directly in the Russian Federation.

“The Yandex Go service in Moldova has been restored, but there may still be some malfunctions. Our teams are actively working to restore the service as quickly as possible. We apologize to all those whose plans have been disrupted,” the company conveyed.

The representatives of Yandex Go mentioned that the data of the complex technological services they provide are distributed on servers located in different countries, but this does not necessarily mean the processing of personal data.

Yandex, which is heavily involved in the development of artificial intelligence in Russia and is sometimes dubbed the “Russian Google,” said on Friday that its data center in the Kaluga region, located southwest of Moscow, was hit by Ukrainian drones and was partially taken out of operation.
