Four years after the start of the Russian invasion, the leader of Kiev, Volodimir Zelenski, asks Donald Trump to reaffirm his support for Ukraine, arguing that Washington is not doing enough to stop Vladimir Putin.
“The United States must stand with a democratic country that fights against one person”, Zelenski said, referring directly to Vladimir Putin.
The Ukrainian president stated that Russia acts solely around the will of the Kremlin leader.
“Putin is a war. Everything revolves around him. His entire country is in a prison”, said the Ukrainian president, according to AFP.
Zelenski pointed out that the United States is “far too big and important” to step back from the conflict and said he hopes Donald Trump will reaffirm his support for Ukraine in the State of the Nation address.
