The military command in Poland will deploy up to 10,000 soldiers to protect critical infrastructure from possible acts of sabotage. The announcement was made by the Minister of Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to the PAP news agency. The operation will begin on November 21 and is considered one of the most extensive security measures in the country’s history.

According to the minister, the troops will work in coordination with the police, railway security services, and other state institutions to prevent diversionary actions. In turn, the Minister of the Interior, Marcin Kierwiński, stated that Poland will use “all available resources – from all ministries and agencies – to ensure the security of its citizens”.

The Chief of the General Staff, General Wiesław Kukuła, specified that the operation will be led by General Maciej Klisz and that all branches of the Polish army will be involved.
