French President Emmanuel Macron had a phone conversation on Wednesday with other European leaders and American President Donald Trump, “in an attempt to make progress” on the peace plan for Ukraine proposed by the White House leader, reports AFP, according to Agerpres.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also participated in this discussion, which lasted 40 minutes, the Elysee Palace stated, without providing details about the content of the conversation.
In the meantime, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that he will participate on Thursday in a new video conference meeting of the leaders of the countries united in the so-called “Coalition of Will”, countries that provide military aid to Ukraine and are also willing to offer it in one form or another security guarantees after the end of the war with Russia.
New discussions with the USA about the peace plan are taking place this Wednesday, the Ukrainian president also announced, who specified a day earlier that Ukraine is working with the USA and its European allies on three separate documents.
