The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland has advised its citizens to leave Russia, citing Moscow’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine and Russia’s designation of Poland as an “unfriendly state”. The announcement was published on the official website of the ministry.

Polish authorities have recommended citizens residing in Russia to leave the country using available commercial or private means, except in cases where personal, family, or professional reasons require staying on Russian territory.

Furthermore, the Polish Foreign Ministry advises citizens to avoid any travel to Russia, except in situations of strict necessity. “In the event of a sudden deterioration in the security situation, the closure of borders or other unforeseen circumstances, evacuation could become significantly difficult or even impossible,” the statement reads.

The Ministry emphasizes that consular assistance may be limited and may require travel to distant consular offices, due to the reduction of Polish diplomatic staff in Russia.
