    The American company Palantir Technologies has been collaborating with Ukraine since the summer of 2022, and its artificial intelligence-based technologies are being used in an increasing number of components of modern warfare – from the analysis of aerial attacks and target recognition to the planning of long-range strikes against Russia, writes focus.ua.

    The company’s executive director, Alex Karp, has repeatedly stated that artificial intelligence is the “new nuclear weapon” of the 21st century. In this context, the question arises whether the technologies developed by Palantir can become a strategic advantage for Ukraine, capable of changing the course of the war – but also what risks such technological dependence implies.

    What technologies does Palantir offer to the Ukrainian army

    The company develops several artificial intelligence platforms intended for the military, intelligence services, and governmental structures.

    Among the most important are:

    1. Gotham — a platform that integrates data from multiple sources to create a complete picture of the battlefield;

    2. Maven — used for identifying and analyzing targets;

    3. TITAN — a mobile platform for coordinating combat operations;

    4. MetaConstellation – a system for integrating satellite images and data from sensors.

    The Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Mihailo Fedorov, announced in May that over 100 teams within the defense forces are using Palantir technologies through the Brave1 Dataroom platform.

    According to the Ukrainian official, the cooperation currently focuses on three main directions: analysis of Russian air strikes; processing of intelligence information and planning long-range strikes on Russian military infrastructure.

    Outside, he seeks to expand the partnership in order to gain a technological advantage on the front.
