The former Prime Minister Dorin Recean has been dismissed from his position as a member of the Moldatsa Administration Council. His mandate ended based on an order issued by the Public Property Agency, reports IPN.

We remind you that Dorin Recean was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the State Enterprise “MoldATSA” on June 15. At that time, he stated that his mandate is limited and aims at restructuring MoldATSA, including reducing redundant functions and eliminating opportunities for abuse.

At the same time, the Government clarified to NewsMaker that Dorin Recean will carry out his mandate without compensation, which means he will not benefit from a salary for the activity carried out within the Council.

MoldATSA, responsible for air traffic security in the Republic of Moldova, found itself at the center of a scandal in June regarding the salaries and incentives granted to some employees, as well as the manner in which certain positions were filled.

A ZdG investigation revealed that the director of the institution at that time, Dumitru Vangheli, included false information about his studies and professional experience in his CV. According to the material, he claimed to have obtained a pilot’s license from one of the largest private flight academies in Canada and to have worked for two years as a pilot at Air Canada, information that would not correspond to reality. Vangheli was dismissed amid the controversy, starting from June 22.

Subsequently, a RISE Moldova investigation revealed that she was remunerated with over one million lei in less than a year of activity as a spokesperson for MoldATSA. According to the investigation, in 2026 her monthly remuneration exceeded 120,000 lei, being about eight times larger than the average salary in the economy and almost four times larger than the salary of the head of state. Taburceanu resigned and returned over 1.1 million lei to MoldATSA.
