Marco Rubio warns that there is a real risk of the war in Ukraine spreading to another state. According to the US Secretary of State, this could happen due to drone incidents or failed sabotages.
The statement was made in Uzbekistan. The Washington official arrived Sunday evening in Samarkand, where the C5+1 group meeting is taking place, which includes the United States and the post-Soviet countries with a Muslim majority – Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan, writes news.ro.
“We see nothing good in this war. We see many negative aspects, including the very real risk of escalation and extension of the conflict into another country due to a failed sabotage attack, due to drones that are hit by electronic warfare and end up in a neighboring country,” declared Marco Rubio.
When asked about a potential Xi-Putin-Trump trilateral, the Secretary of State clarified that such a meeting is under discussion, but he specified that he does not know if the exact date has been set.
