Two Moldovans were detained in Russia, suspected of collaborating with the Ukrainian intelligence services, according to the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB). One of them allegedly transported explosives to the cities of Volgograd and Saratov, while the other is accused of photographing strategic military targets of the Kremlin.

The identity of one of them, revealed as Marius Pruneanu, is said to have been a member of the International Legion in Ukraine and was recruited by the Ukrainian intelligence services. The young man allegedly received a car in which he was supposed to transport explosives to the Russian cities of Saratov and Volgograd.

Two other Russians were reportedly recruited to commit acts of terrorism in Samara and have passed the polygraph tests in Chisinau, according to the FSB. The authority informs that one of them evaded mobilization, and the government in Chisinau is accused of allowing subversive actions on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

The second compatriot is Evgheni Curdoglu, originally from Gagauzia, according to the data published by the FSB. The man is said to have been recruited by the Ukrainian intelligence services to gather information about the positions of military equipment, troops in Crimea, and strategic targets for the Kremlin.

FSB has reported that Curdoglu is cooperating with the investigation and has pleaded guilty. The authorities in Chisinau have not yet commented on the detention of Moldovan citizens by the Russian authorities.”
