An unidentified flying object was found fallen to the ground near the Chisinau-Basarabeasca route. The police were alerted by a citizen and intervened at the scene, where they secured the perimeter. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense announced that last night five drones were detected in the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, in the context of the air attacks launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
According to the Police, the object found near Basarabeasca, in the outskirts of the village Carabetovca, is an unmanned flying device, of the “Parodia” type. It was found damaged, most likely after it hit a tree on the side of the road.
Following the checks, including X-ray examination, no explosive devices or substances were identified, reports IPN.
The other drones have passed near the localities of Palanca, Căplani, Carahasani, Crocmaz, Olănești, Purcari and Rășcăieți from the Ștefan Vodă district.
Incidents with drones, which have entered unauthorized into the airspace, have also been reported in Romania, according to the Ministry of Defense in Bucharest.
