For the first time, Ukraine has transported a robot using a naval drone, delivering the device to territory controlled by Russia, reported the Ukrainian military and Anton Gherashchenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs and close to the power in Kiev. As part of the “first known combat mission of this kind”, a Ukrainian naval drone transported a ground drone into a Russia-controlled area on the Kinburn Spit, announced on July 13, the 123rd Territorial Defense Brigade of Ukraine, cited by Kyiv Independent.
“A terrestrial robotic system was transported to the enemy-controlled shore using an unmanned naval platform, it was disembarked on the occupied territory and used to carry out a combat mission,” the brigade conveyed in a social media post.

“It’s a new approach to war, where the most dangerous tasks are performed by machinery, and Ukrainian military personnel are establishing new rules of modern combat,” she added.
Ground drones play an increasingly important role in Ukraine’s war effort, being used for transporting supplies, evacuating wounded soldiers, demining, and carrying out combat missions without endangering the lives of soldiers.
