Moldova has been officially invited to present its negotiating position on clusters 2 and 3 within the process of accession to the European Union. The announcement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the invitation was sent by the Irish presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the authorities in Chisinau are prepared to advance in the accession process writes IPN.
The official emphasized that this stage prepares the formal opening of the respective chapter groups within the framework of the next Moldova-EU Intergovernmental Conference.
Moldova officially opened, on June 15, the negotiations on the chapters of the first cluster – “Fundamental Values”. In July, Cluster 6 – “External Relations” was also opened. Clusters 2 and 3 target the “Internal Market”, respectively “Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth”.
