A Russian propagandist is being pursued after allegedly deserting from the front in Ukraine. He was part of a unit deployed in the direction of Donetsk.

Dialog reports that this is about the blogger Egor Guzenko, known under the pseudonym “Trinadțatîi”. He was put on the wanted list after allegedly leaving the military unit where he was stationed without permission.

According to the Ukrainian journalist Denîs Kazanski, the brigade he was part of was deployed in the direction of Donetsk and participated in operations to conquer the locality of Mala Tokmacika. He claims that Guzenko refused to participate in the battle and left the military unit.

In a post on Telegram, Kazanski claims that Egor Guzenko, who previously heavily promoted the war and called for a general mobilization in Russia, was sent to an assault unit following an incident related to alcohol consumption, but would have subsequently deserted.

In November 2024, Guzenko agreed to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, thereby avoiding a prison sentence.

Until then, he had openly refused to participate in the war, however, according to reports, the prospect of detention led him to enlist as an assault soldier.

In the meantime, Russian authorities are conducting street raids to recruit new soldiers.
