The municipal court in Riga has sentenced Polina Kamliova, a seamstress from Rezekne, to six years in prison for transferring approximately 43 euros intended for the purchase of equipment for Russian soldiers participating in the war against Ukraine, reports Moscow Times. The money was to be used for the purchase of a drone jamming device.

In addition, the court ordered Kamliova to remain under the supervision of the probation service for three years. Taking into account the time already spent in custody, she still has to serve five years and approximately two months of imprisonment.

The court determined that, in December 2024, Kamliova corresponded on WhatsApp with an acquaintance from Russia, who was a contact person for the Russian military-patriotic special training center “Kaskad”. During the conversation, the woman agreed to help raise money for the Russian army.

The acquaintance asked for help to purchase an electronic warfare equipment called “Kupolnîi pokrov radioelektronnoi borbî FPV-4”, a device intended for jamming drones.
