Anti-aircraft defense represents a complex set of measures and is costly, states the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi, in an interview given for PISA. According to the official, this field is a priority for the authorities in Chisinau.

The head of Defense asserts that, nevertheless, sky protection cannot be built in a short time, especially in the context of the war in Ukraine, which is at war, writes realitatea.md.

“Air defense is a very complex set of measures, inherently expensive and not built in a short period of time, especially during times when it is a priority for countries at war, such as Ukraine, but also for all neighboring countries. The Republic of Moldova has the longest border with Ukraine, which is at war. A border of 1212 kilometers and respectively, as a result of this war and in some cases as deliberate attacks from the Russian Federation, the defense of the airspace is a priority for us,” said Nosatîi.

Speaking about the participation of Moldovan soldiers in international missions, Nosatîi pointed out that among the priorities of the National Army is also international cooperation, and the number of agreements in this regard has increased.
