The Port of Constanța was evacuated, traffic – blocked, following messages about bomb threats. These came from phone numbers registered in Ukraine and Poland, being created by artificial intelligence.

Authorities were informed that five bombs might be placed in the port, according to Antena 3. The passenger terminal was also targeted.

According to the Romanian press, officers from the Romanian Intelligence Service also intervened at the scene. After checks, it was determined that the alerts were false.

The evacuated individuals have returned to the institutions. The investigation is set to determine who is responsible for transmitting the messages.
