Fragments of a crashed Russian drone were found in Văleni, Cahul district. The Police of the Republic of Moldova announce that the discovery was made in the outskirts of the locality.
Following the preliminary examination of the recovered fragments, the characteristics, the materials used in manufacturing, as well as the identified markings, specialists have determined that it is a “Gheran-2” type drone.
The remnants of the drone and relevant objects are documented and collected for the necessary expertise to be carried out.
The specialists of the Technical-Explosive Section of the National Police continue their investigations into the case.
