The new leader of the British Labour Party, Andy Burnham, was named Prime Minister of the United Kingdom by King Charles III on Monday. The sovereign asked him to form the Government.
The official is a former mayor of Greater Manchester and is 56 years old. The King received him on Monday at lunchtime, at Buckingham Palace.
