Aleksei Korșenko, former deputy general director of the company “Avia Group”, which manages the business aviation terminals at Sheremetyevo and Pulkovo airports, was found dead in Moscow. He had been dismissed three weeks before his death.
The preliminary cause of death is mentioned as suicide, however, those close to him do not believe this version, according to the publication “Agentstvo Novîi”. At the time of his death, he was 57 years old.
The publication “Moskovski Komsomolets” had written about the death of Korșenko as early as June, but the information went unnoticed until this week, when the deceased’s name was made public by the Telegram channel “VCEK-OGPU”.
According to available information, the man was found hanged on the balcony of his apartment on Flotskaia street, on June 6. On the same day, his identification documents were declared invalid.
According to “Agentstvo”, the deceased had been building his career in the aviation industry since at least 1997, when he started working at the “Aeroflot” company. In 2008, he joined “Avia Group”, the company that manages the business terminals at Sheremetyevo and Pulkovo airports.
In 2011, he took over the leadership of the company “AG Terminal”, a subsidiary of “Avia Group”. The latter was included in the US sanctions list in 2015, due to its ties with Ghennadi Timcenko, a close associate of the Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin, and was liquidated in 2020. After this episode, Korșenko returned to “Avia Group”, where he held the position of Deputy General Manager for ground operations and terminal.
