Following Lithuania and Poland, Latvia also announces that Russia would plan to attack its critical infrastructure. The statements belong to the head of state Edgars Rinkevics.
During a press conference, the official said that the statements come from the security services, writes hotnews.ro. According to him, sabotage actions are not ruled out.
“The information we receive from Lithuania, Latvia, and other NATO member states, from various agencies in these countries, indicates various attempts at sabotage and undermining security in our states,” Rinkevics declared during a press conference held together with his Lithuanian counterpart, Gitanas Nauseda, in Vilnius.
Previously, Nauseda stated in an interview that he has information that Russia might be planning to attack targets in his country, but he mentioned that he does not know when this could happen.
Recently, similar accusations have also been launched from Warsaw. The Kremlin has dismissed the accusations. Dmitri Peskov said that this would justify the strengthening of NATO capabilities and anti-Russian propaganda.
