The next tranche of the European Union’s Growth Plan for Moldova will amount to 168 million euros. Its disbursement is planned for the end of February – beginning of March of the current year.
Finance Minister Andrian Gavrilița told Moldpres that the financial resources provided by the EU represent an important opportunity for the Republic of Moldova. According to the official, the funds include grants and technical assistance, as well as advantageous loans, with low interest rates and long repayment terms.
“These resources will be used for reforms and investments, aiming at modernizing the economy, supporting the business environment, developing infrastructure, increasing energy efficiency and improving public services,” said the Minister of Finance.
So far, disbursements of 270 million euros have been made under the Reform and Growth Facility.
The Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova amounts to 1.9 billion euros. The money is granted for the period 2025 – 2027, 385 million being grants, and the rest of the money – loans under advantageous conditions.
