In 2025, every fifth online business launched in Russia was created with the participation of Chinese citizens, either as founders or as general managers, according to a study conducted by the platform T‑Business.

The data analysis shows that last year the number of Chinese companies registered in the e-commerce sector doubled. At the same time, the total number of Chinese firms conducting online commerce activities in Russia increased 2.4 times in 2025.

Chinese entrepreneurs are rapidly expanding their presence in the Russian economy. Between 2023 and 2025, the number of Chinese companies registered in Russia increased by 86%, the fastest growth rate among all foreign businesses in the country.

According to the study, Chinese entrepreneurs open over 400 new businesses in Russia each month, either as individual enterprises or as commercial companies. Just in 2025, the number of companies registered with Chinese participation increased by 35%, while the number of new Russian companies decreased by 21%.
