“Speak louder” – is all that the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, could say when asked when the war in Ukraine will end. The statement was made during the meeting with the American Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
Following the discussion, a US official acknowledged that the Putin – Trump summit in Alaska was not successful, writes BBC. The entire meeting of the two officials lasted about 30 minutes.
Although it did not communicate anything clear about the results of the meeting, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the Rubio-Lavrov discussion as a continuation of that Trump – Putin meeting.
Dmitri Peskov said that there are no advancements within the discussions, but he clarified that dialogue is always beneficial.
