In the Ukrainian city of Sevastopol, annexed by Russia, diesel is sold on ration coupons. The sale of gasoline has been limited to 20 liters per customer.
The decision affects the largest TES gas station network, announced the city’s mayor, appointed by Russia. According to him, it would be about logistical difficulties.
“To avoid haste, as we did last time, we are implementing a measure that has already proven effective,” conveyed the Mayor.
The official has asked residents to show understanding of the situation, according to The Moscow Times. Sevastopol has become the first region whose authorities have imposed restrictions on fuel sales due to Ukrainian strikes on oil refineries.
Previously, there were reports that there might be a gasoline shortage in the Rezan region of Russia, even though the Ministry of Energy announced that the situation on the domestic market is stable and remains under control.
