The leader of the PSRM, Igor Dodon, is upset that Russia and Belarus are not on the list of friends of the Republic of Moldova. According to him, this is the first time in the 34 years of independence that such a case has occurred, which he considers shameful.
“In the list of parliamentary friendship groups with foreign countries proposed by the PAS parliamentary majority, there are missing such states as the Russian Federation and Belarus with which the Republic of Moldova has had diplomatic relations for decades and friendship relations for centuries.
For the first time in the 34 years of independence, such a shameful case is happening, involving two states of utmost strategic importance and with which we have had a long-standing friendship and economic and cultural exchange”, Dodon wrote.

Also, Igor Dodon pointed out that he asked the PAS representatives in Parliament to establish such a friendship group. The official request was made by the parliamentary faction of the Socialists.
“Through aggressive Russophobia, the government will achieve nothing positive, but only division, hatred in society, and more poverty in the state budget, among local producers, and among ordinary citizens”, the politician stated.
