Estonian authorities accuse Russia of sabotage at a weapons factory. It’s about a fire that broke out on August 15.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna announced on social media that authorities in Tallinn can “conclusively determine that the attack involving a fire against the Milrem Robotics building was an act of sabotage ordered by the special services of the Russian Federation.”

According to the official, the three alleged perpetrators of the attack have been arrested and no longer pose any threat, according to Agerpres. Two of them are Latvians, they were arrested after an attack in Latvia, then handed over to Estonia.

The European Union and NATO have expressed their support for Estonia.

The NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, stated that Moscow “is trying to weaken our resolve and cease our support for Ukraine”.

“Russia is held in check, it fails on the battlefield, just as it fails in undermining our unity and our support for Ukraine,” Rutte pointed out.

“Moscow is thus trying to intimidate Europe into reducing its support for Ukraine, but this will not happen,” declared the spokesperson of the European Commission, Christian Wigand.

Moscow has rejected the accusations. The Kremlin’s spokesperson, Dmitri Peskov, told the press that “such statements are unfounded, ill-considered, they do not reflect reality and are not based on any argument”.
