A residential building in the town of Novaya Adygeya was damaged by the impact of a Russian anti-aircraft defense missile, which deviated from its trajectory. This conclusion was reached by OSINT analysts after analyzing images from the scene of the incident. The Republic of Adygea was attacked by Ukrainian drones on the evening of January 20.
During the repulsion of the attack, a residential block and a car park caught fire, according to Governor Murat Kumpilov. Nine people were hospitalized, and later, fragments of a human body were found under the rubble. The exact number of victims is to be determined through genetic expertise.
The founder of the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT), Ruslan Leiev, stated that in the video recordings made by locals, the entire process can be followed – from the moment the missile is launched to the impact with the building – from several angles. In addition, in all recordings “a clear trail of white smoke left behind” is visible, which “only forms when the engine runs on composite solid fuel”.
According to Leiev, such propellants are exclusively equipped on ground-to-air missiles of Russian anti-aircraft defense systems. All Ukrainian means of attack, including drones and “Flamingo” cruise missiles, use gasoline or kerosene and do not leave smoke traces.
