The grandson of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, Iakub Zakriev, and his former adviser Ruslan Alisultanov have become billionaires in rubles after taking control of the Russian assets of the French conglomerate Danone, according to an investigation conducted by Explainer.

According to the data, Zakriev (36 years old), who took over the leadership of Danone Russia in July 2023 — later renamed “Logika Moloka” — purchased a luxury property in the Novaya Riga area in November of the same year, under the name of his unemployed wife. The estate, located in the “Millennium Park” residential complex, would have cost approximately 1 billion rubles (about 10 million euros).

Also, at the beginning of 2024, Zakriev held a bank deposit at Gazprombank of 1.5 billion rubles (approximately 15 million euros), for which he would have obtained total interest of about 224 million rubles (approximately 2.3 million euros), according to data from bank information leaks.

Previously, Zakriev was the mayor of the city of Grozny, head of the administration of the Chechen leader, and minister of agriculture in the republic, with an average income of about 1.3 million rubles per month (approximately 13,000 euros). At his current job, his earnings would vary between 6 and 14 million rubles per month (approximately 60,000–145,000 euros), depending on bonuses.

In turn, Alisultanov, identified as the sole beneficiary of the company “Logika Moloka”, opened a deposit at Gazprombank in 2024 of over 4 billion rubles (approximately 41 million euros). He is also said to have purchased one of the most expensive residences in Russia — a penthouse near the Kremlin, estimated at 3 billion rubles (about 31 million euros).

Previously, Alisultanov worked in the Ministry of Agriculture of Chechnya, where he had a salary of approximately 79,000 rubles per month (about 800 euros).
