The authorities installed by Russia in Crimea announced on Saturday, June 21, the suspension of fuel sales to the population and business environment, amid increasing difficulties in supply caused by Ukrainian attacks on the region’s logistical infrastructure.

The leader of the occupation administration in the peninsula, Sergei Aksionov, conveyed that, starting from 9.00, the fuel stations in Crimea no longer sell fuels to citizens and companies.

According to this, gasoline and diesel can no longer be purchased either with cash, electronic payment, or on a ticket basis. Fuel will be distributed exclusively to state institutions and services.

“All subsequent decisions regarding the situation on the fuel market will be communicated additionally”, Aksionov specified in a message published on Telegram.

After the kamikaze drone attacks, Crimea faced problems not only related to the lack of gasoline, but also electricity. A part of the peninsula was left without electricity on Sunday, June 21, reports Krymenergo.

It is claimed that, due to “damage to the electrical networks”, some subscribers in the North-West, Central and South Coast regions have been left without power. Russian authorities report about repair works. Armansk, Alushta and Krasnoperekopsk are without power. The Russian administration announced that in Sevastopol there are ongoing power outage programs.
