The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs has tightened its travel recommendations for Russia and urged its citizens to leave the country. While the previous warning primarily referred to the border regions with Ukraine, it now extends to the entire territory of Russia.

The German Ministry has warned that the risk of drone attacks persists throughout the entire territory of Russia. Moscow, Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region have become, in recent months, increasingly frequent targets of massive drone raids.

“Despite the significant strengthening of the anti-aircraft defense system around Moscow, drone attacks and the fall of their debris have caused damages that, in some cases, have been quite significant,” it is mentioned in the recommendations.

Berlin considers the most dangerous regions to be Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, and Rostov, as well as the Krasnodar region. Against the backdrop of the ongoing war, the risk level can increase rapidly, and the security situation can suddenly worsen, writes the ministry. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned about possible disruptions in air traffic.

Due to drone attacks, restrictions on the operation of airports are regularly imposed in Russia, leading to delays and flight cancellations. The recommendations also mention disruptions in fuel supply in certain regions.
