The court has seized the assets of the former deputies of the Legislative Assembly from the Krasnodar region of Russia, Sergei Fursa and Alexei Sidiukov. Assets worth 62.5 billion rubles were confiscated from Sidiukov, and 19 billion rubles from Fursa.

The total value of the confiscated assets exceeds 81 billion rubles. This is equivalent to over 1 billion US dollars, according to the current exchange rate.

Among the confiscated assets are 318 residential buildings, 43 non-residential ones, 139 plots of land, 100% of the shares in 81 companies, cash, bank accounts, vehicles, securities, jewelry, and luxury items.

The hearing took place without the personal presence of the defendants. Fursa and Sidiukov allowed their lawyers to represent them in court. Also targeted by investigations is the former deputy governor of the Kuban region, Andrei Korobka, according to themoscowtimes.com. The latter is in pretrial detention.

Korobka, Fursa, and Sidiukov are accused of abuse of power and political influence, in order to illegally enrich themselves. Before 2012, each of their businesses would reportedly generate about 10 million rubles annually, according to investigators.

The General Prosecutor’s Office also requests the confiscation of Korobka’s property, which, according to the agency, was obtained through corruption. This includes 135 plots of land, 100 buildings, 12 rooms, shares in companies, and lease rights to approximately 12,500 fertile land.

The anti-corruption campaign in Kuban began in 2025. Previously, the court had confiscated assets from other officials, including deputies of the State Duma and the mayor of the city of Sochi.
