One of President Vladimir Putin’s closest advisors, Nikolai Patrushev, has issued a direct threat to Warsaw. The Russian official stated that the Polish state would cease to exist in just a few days if it chose to militarily engage against the Russian Federation, according to Interfax.
According to him, if Poland engages in military action against Russia, Moscow is prepared to use the “entire arsenal of forces and means available“.
“If Poland participates in military actions against Russia, our country will use the entire arsenal of forces and means at its disposal, and the Polish state would cease to exist in two or three days“, Patrușev asserted.
Moscow’s response to the statements of Polish diplomacy
The virulent reaction of the Kremlin representative comes in response to a recent statement by the Foreign Minister of Warsaw, Radosław Sikorski, who argued that Poland benefits from air superiority compared to Russia.
“The head of Polish diplomacy clearly assesses our country’s military strength as an amateur, unwilling to understand that, during special military operations, the Russian armed forces do not use their full potential in any way“, said Patrushev.
He added that Warsaw does not wish to listen to the Kremlin’s claims that Russia poses no threat and there are no reasons for carrying out military actions against the EU.
