In Cobasna, the Transnistrian region of the Republic of Moldova, approximately 14,000 tons of ammunition are stored. Of these, about 2800 have explosives.

The rest are molds, packaging, and metal casings, according to a report published by the intelligence services of the Republic of Moldova. There are 42 distinct warehouses, scattered over an area of over one square kilometer, at a distance of about 80 – 100 meters from each other. Among them, some are bunkers, others are semi-buried in the ground, and some are surface constructions.

Authorities in the Republic of Moldova rule out major regional incidents in the area, taking into account the terrain and the location of the munitions. According to them, in a potential explosion scenario, the effects would be felt approximately 2 kilometers from the epicenter of the blast.

From the published images, one can see an infrastructure similar to that of an entire locality, with training areas, a military town, and a checkpoint at the entrance to the military complex.
