The Military Intelligence Service of Ukraine (GUR) asserts that Russia and China have been conducting regular reciprocal military training programs for several years, in which hundreds of soldiers from the two countries participate in training stages at the military institutions of the partner.
In a response sent to the Kyiv Post publication, GUR stated that over 550 Chinese military personnel have undergone training in Russian military academies and training centers. Outside, he speaks of a “constant” military cooperation.
According to GUR, the exchange of military personnel between the two states has become a regular practice in recent years.
The institution maintains that the programs include both cadets and instructors, as well as teaching staff from the military institutions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the People’s Liberation Army of China.
In the case of Russian soldiers, the Ukrainian service claims that they were trained in military educational institutions specialized in infantry, armored troops, engineering, aviation, and anti-aircraft defense.
On the other hand, over 550 Chinese military personnel are said to have undergone training in higher military institutions in Russia.
