In a single day, Russian troops have shot down nearly 1000 drones launched by Ukraine, according to the Ministry of Defense in Moscow. The data also includes operations over annexed territories.

In total, the officials reported about 992 drones, four missiles, and ten annihilated bombs. According to Meduza, the attack sets a new record for the number of projectiles launched in a single day, by both sides.

The airports in the Russian capital remained closed, and locals complained that the warning systems for attacks were not functioning. At the same time, they published images of the so-called “oil rain”.

More precisely, after a fire broke out at the refineries in Moscow, people began to post images of toxic substances deposits fallen on buildings and vehicles.

Another first is that, in the case of this attack, the US Embassy in Moscow has advised its citizens to prepare for potential risks and to identify safe places for shelter. Until now, United States diplomats have not issued such warnings for its citizens residing in Russia.
