In Gelendjik, the commercial and leisure complex “Belîi Mîs” (“White Cape”) was inaugurated, a large-scale project with restaurants, tasting spaces, and a marina for yachts, known in the press as “Putin’s Wine Disneyland”.
According to an investigation conducted by The Insider, the project is associated with several people from the close circle of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Among these are the shareholder of Bank Rossiya, Yuri Kovalchuk, and Putin’s judo partner, Taimuraz Bolloev, who took over the beer-producing company Baltika after the seizure of the assets of the Carlsberg Group in Russia.
The complex occupies an area of 42,000 square meters on the cliff in Gelendjik. It includes a wine museum, a wine cellar hosting one of the largest collections of Russian wines, over ten restaurants, a cinema, a wine academy, a civil registry office, and a marina for yachts.
Previously, the publication “Agentstvo” reported that the construction works were carried out by the company “Velesstroi”, the main contractor involved in the reconstruction of the so-called “Putin’s palace” near Gelendjik.
The main investor of the project is Bank Rossiya, and the operator is the company “Torik”, owned by Olga Siruk, aged 37. She also controls the company “Tehservis”, registered at the same address as the Igora ski resort, associated with Iuri Kovalciuk.
The complex’s website uses the domain wine.ru, which belongs to the “Bastion” company. Until the end of 2023, it was entirely owned by Taimuraz Bolloev. Currently, 10% of the company belongs to Dmitri Lebedev, a member of the Board of Directors of Bank Rossiya and co-chairman of the ABR Management group, which manages the assets of the Kovalchuk brothers.
