The Chișinău administration has sent an official invitation to the Tiraspol delegation for a meeting on constitutionally controlled territory, but the separatists have refused, declared the Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri on Realitatea TV. The official revealed that Vitali Ignatiev was guaranteed security.
The so-called foreign minister from Tiraspol refused. He cited the existence in national legislation of provisions that punish separatism.
“We are on the territory of the Republic of Moldova. So, we have, in a way, guaranteed his security and the creation of all conditions for the next 1+1 meeting. He refused, so we proposed that the next one should take place in Rîbnița”, Chiveri declared.
According to Chiveri, it is unlikely that a “1+1” format meeting will take place in Chișinău in the near future. According to the official, the constitutional leadership of the country prefers to show flexibility in order to continue the dialogue.
