President Nicușor Dan could meet with the leaders of the parties from the former governing coalition. The announcement was made at the end of the NATO summit in Ankara.

Currently, the time of the meeting is being negotiated, so that everyone’s schedule allows for the conduct of a session. The leader from Cotroceni said that he has already been informed about the discussions held between the formations.

“Right now, strictly at this moment, I do not feel that a solution is emerging. (…) At Monday’s meeting, I want each of the leaders to state what majority solution they see,” announced the Romanian president.

At the same time, the official asked the leader of the formations to also communicate to the citizens about the ideas and solutions they consider suitable for implementation, writes Agerpres.

Romania is in a political crisis after the Government led by Ilie Bolojan fell, and another Executive could not be formed. Initially, Eugen Tomac’s candidacy for the position of prime minister was proposed, but the politician withdrew, citing the fact that he did not find political support.

The appointment of Adrian Veștea followed, but the cabinet formed by him did not receive the vote of confidence from the Romanian Legislature.
